السيرة الذاتية للأستاذ الدكتور محمد محي الدين

الدكتور محمد محيي الدين يعمل أستاذاً في جراحة المخ والأعصاب والعمود الفقرى بكلية طب القصرالعيني بجامعة القاهرة (جمهورية مصر العربية) وهو يعيش حالياً فى محافظة الجيزة في مصر حيث يعمل إستشاري وجراح المخ و الاعصاب و العمود الفقري وهو عضو لجنة الحكم من الجامعات المصرية التابعة (EUPC) للمجلس الأعلى لترقية و لاعتماد تعيين أعضاء هيئة تدريس الجامعات المصرية فى جراحة الاعصاب. الدكتور محمد محي الدين عضو مجلس إدارة الجمعية المصرية للجراحة العصبية (ESNS) ، مؤسس و عضو مجلس إدارة مجموعة العمود الفقرى المصري من ESNS ، مؤسس و عضو مجلس إدارة الجمعية العربية للتدخل المحدود للعمود الفقرى (PAMISS) ، عضو في جمعية ال (أ-و) للعمود الفقري ( الشرق الأوسط) ، وعضو في الكونغرس الأمريكى لجراحة الأعصاب (CNS) ، وعضو الجمعية الأميركية لجراحي الأعصاب (AANS) ، عضو جمعية جراحة الأعصاب من أستراليا (NSSA) ، وعضوا في جمعية الأطباء الأخلاقية للعمود الفقري (AESS ) ، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية..

درس الدكتور محمد محي الدين بجامعة القاهرة وحصل على شهادة البكالوريس ( 1987 ) والماجستير (1992) والدكتوراه (1997)

عمل الدكتور محمد محي الدين بمستشفيات عديدة بمصر وخارجها وله أبحاث عديدة في مجال المخ والأعصاب والعمود الفقرى ، وهو يقوم بتدريس علم جراحة المخ والأعصاب الأساسي والإكلينيكي وكذلك علم جراحة العمود الفقرى الأساسي والإكلينيكي لطلبة الكلية وطلبة الدراسات العليا بالجامعات. وقد إتجه في السنوات الأخيرة إلى الإهتمام بجراحات العمود الفقرى بصفة خاصة ونشر ثقافة التدخل المحدود الحديثة للعمود الفقرى وذللك للأطباء و للعامة وللمرضى بالبلاد العربية وذلك لإيمانه بأهمية نشر هذا الفكر العلمى والعلاجى الجديد.

في السنوات ال 10 الماضية ، أصبح محيي الدين يخصص معظم الوقت لفلسفة علم التدخل المحدود للعمود الفقري ، كيفيته وطرقه والعمليات الجراحية.

بدأ بعد دراساته التي تناولت العديد من مضاعفات جراحات العمود الفقري التقليدية ، حملة لتوعية الأطباء والمرضى والجمهور حول فلسفة التدخل المحدود للعمود الفقري ، والتدخلات والعمليات الجراحية في أمراض العمود الفقري. لهذه الحملة مكوناتها التعليمية والبحثية ، ومكوناتها الإكلينيكية. بدأت مكونات الحملة التعليمية والبحثية في جامعة القاهرة ، والمؤتمرات ، والمجتمعات. وأما العنصر الإكلينيكى فبدأ في مستشفيات جامعة القاهرة ، ومستشفيات وزارة الصحة. هذه الحملة تشمل العديد من الأنشطة بما في ذلك المحاضرات والمقالات. .
